Västerbotten and Jämtland are two of the most beautiful regions of Sweden. In summer they give us two brilliant music festivals; Trästocksfestivalen and Storsjöyran. We’ll be there and hope to see you!

Hello!

We’re in Sweden but mentally we’re still in the U.S. And we miss American food, so much. We also miss the square holes in the streets where people sometimes mysteriously disappear. And the smoke that sometimes come out of strange pipes, in the middle of the street. This weekend we’re very busy, but will soon show you pictures from our trip overseas.

Tomorrow is Friday - everyone’s favorite day. We take the horses and our music and go to Sundsvall - a city which once was destroyed in a fire (this was in 1888). We play at Pipeline, at 11PM. You’re very welcome to show up and listen to the things we say and sing!

We are alive! Just very busy, that’s why we haven’t written in a while. We’re playing in Brooklyn tonight, at Union Hall - great venue. Tomorrow’s show is in Philadelphia and on Friday we’re at the famous Mercury Lounge. Be there or be a shy swede. This is what we’ve been doing instead of blogging:

1. Getting our nails done

2. Playing at boat that rocked so much Jakob fell while playing

3. Trying to avoid Starbucks but always ending up there anyway

As soon as we get back we’ll publish pictures and stories from our very first tour in America. There are pictures of us at the Seinfeld diner and snapshots from one of our numerous pizza dinners. Very nice. Don’t miss that.

On thursday we leave for New York. This city is enormous. But we figured we’ll just do like we do with Old Umeå, Sweden. Play our way through it. Check off club after club until there are no more places to go (eh…). Our beloved hosts Paul and Jake (with help from others) has put together a plan for our stay, including 5 clubs in New York and also two in Philadelphia. See tour dates on the right side of this page. So please come and see us on one, two or all of the dates. All vår väntan blifver svår, as we say here in Sweden. (The waiting is hard.)

Next week we’re going west like vikings and Neil Tennant before us. After that we’re playing some swedish festivals in july. Sundsvall, Skellefteå and Östersund. Klick tourdates on the right side of this for dates. All three of them within 500 km. Unbelievable! We could almost go there by bicycle. If it wasn’t for the horseheads and sticks etc. Some more dates might be added but we’ll let you know.

Due to an upcoming trip to New York, and the expected interest this will create from people not familiar with the swedish language, we have decided to convert to english. There were some heated discussions within the Two White Horses-camp on whether we should switch to french or english. One of us opted for french since “it is after all the international language of conversation; per se”. But: “the british empire has made some important progress, and the light of sun-king Louis XIV is fading and so is the french enlightenment “.

Since we don’t want to appear to reactionary we’ll go with the times and write in english. We’re very excited about the NY-trip and details will be posted soon. Until then you can  can enjoy some brief translations of the old posts on this page and/or on our MySpace.

We’ll celebrate the arrival of summer by playing a few songs at the premiere of the club Tuesdays-at-Rex, Umeå.
